El presidente Gabriel Boric se refirió a la histórica alza del dólar, fenómeno que ha ocurrido durante los últimos meses, y que tuvo a la divisa estadounidense alcanzando la barrera de los $1.000 pesos durante este miércoles.
Luego de sostener una reunión con la Asociación Chilena de Municipalidades, el Mandatario señaló que la situación «es tremendamente preocupante«.
Respecto del origen de este fenómeno, el jefe de Estado mencionó que «acá hay diferentes causas, una de las principales es la baja del precio del cobre producto de dos factores que son externos a lo nacional«.
«Uno, es la perspectiva de recesión en Europa y Estados Unidos, que recién se van a aclarar en la próxima reunión de la Reserva Federal, que todavía tienen un tiempo, y además el proceso que todavía sigue China con el cierre de ciudades que ha bajado la demanda de cobre», detalló.
También aseveró que «hay factores internos y en esto la incertidumbre sin lugar a dudas contribuye y por eso es importante que los diferentes sectores políticos demos señales de certidumbre, de que acá nos vamos a poner de acuerdo».
«Por eso, yo he señalado mi disposición cómo Presidente de la República para que el día después del Plebiscito, sea cual sea su resultado, emprender un conjunto de conversaciones y trabajo para que el texto constitucional que finalmente tengamos sea el que genere la mayor unidad posible«, sentenció.
